The science station sits on asteroid 2035 RAXQ, which is about to pass through a radiation belt; twelve-year old twins Raz and Kiley, as well as the other scientists on the station plan to take refuge deep inside the asteroid where they will be safe--but immediately they start seeing ghostly figures, until it becomes clear that they may be safe from the radiation, but not from an artificial intelligence that wants to kill them.
