The realities of an English classroom are not always the way books tell us. Under normal circumstances the classroom is a place where the teacher gives input and the students do most of the interaction but there are cases where for different reasons the teacher actually does most of the utterances in the class. It has been also expected that the classroom turn into an immersion place where only the L2 is used but there are cases where the teacher uses the L1 in the L2 class. These two subjects are the main purpose of the present work.
