Crossing the SavannaThere comes a point in everyone's life when they must cross over a certain threshold. She dreamed of eliminating apathy, helping others, and connecting people across the world. She followed that dream and founded OMNI, a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable community improvements. Since that moment, Karen has traveled to Zambia over 47 times in thirteen years. Starting from the donation of what appeared to be a worthless mango grove near an illiterate farming village, Orphan Medical Network International was born, and, today, educates and medically cares for the most impoverished children in the Copperbelt region of Zambia.
