Informationen zum Autor Sandra Ott is an associate professor in the Center for Basque Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has an MLitt and a DPhil in social anthropology from Oxford University and lived in Europe for thirty years before returning to the United States in 2002. She is the author of a widely acclaimed monograph, The Circle of Mountains: A Basque Shepherding Community ; and numerous articles about Basque culture and, most recently, Franco-Basque-German relations during the Occupation. In 2007, she received a national award in French history, the Millstone Prize.
