Maia Flore croit aux vertus d'une photographie enfin débarrassée de la réalité crue. Le réel n'a d'intérêt que transfiguré. Avec sa personne comme modèle, ou plutôt comme sujet agissant, elle s'amuse à mettre en scène d'improbables situations poétiques et métaphoriques. Cette photographie relève de la poésie élisabéthaine ! Le travail est fortement imprégné des caractéristiques de son anatomie, ces longs cheveux roux, cette peau si blanche, tout en retenue et rejetant l'exhibition. Ce corps est un pont, un arbre, un objet. Il fusionne avec le monde, il a une respiration, comme une langue qui divague.

Maia Flore believes in the virtues of photography at last rid of crude reality. Reality is only of interest if it is transformed. Using herself as a model, or rather as an active subject, she enjoys staging improbable poetical and metaphorical situations. Her photography pertains to Elizabethan poetry ! The work is strongly imbued with characteristics of her anatomy, the long red hair, the skin so white, everything so reserved and rejecting display. This body is a bridge, a tree, an object. It merges with the world, it breathes, like a language that rambles.
