This book contains some of the most important contributions presented at the 21st. Annual Conference of the European Society for the History of the Human Sciences (ESHHS) held in Barcelona, August 2002. The book focuses mainly the history of psychology and related fields such as the history of aesthetics, history of archaeology, the philosophy of history and historiography. It includes a cross-disciplinary study on instincts.
