Summary

The European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) is a foreign relations instrument of the European Union with the aim to build up close connections to the countries to the east and south of the EU. It has been developed in 2004, with the objective of avoiding the emergence of new dividing lines between the enlarged EU and its neighbours and instead strengthening prosperity, stability and security. The ENP framework is proposed to 16 eastern and southern neighbours, namely Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine. This publication documents the 5th conference of network europe, held in Jerusalem in 2013, on the results and perspectives of the ENP.
