and considered by many to be a founder of the modern Chicago
Blues style. A powerful inspiration in the emergence of the electric

inducted into the "Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.

SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON -"DOWN AND OUT BLUES (1959)
Born: Alex Miller (1899 - 1965). American blues singer & harmonica
player at the emergence of electric blues.
Research has shown that Miller was born Aleck Ford on the Sara Jones
Plantation in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. He took on the name of
his sharecropper stepfather, Jim Miller. His gravestone lists his date
of birth as March 11, 1908. The tombstone lists his death as 23 June
1965. Such is the mystery of blues legends.

Born: Albert Nelson (1923 - 1992). American singer, guitarist and songwriter.
Albert King is one of the most influential blues guitarists of the
1950s and 1960s. A recording artist since the late 1940s, he enjoyed his
biggest commercial successes while signed to the Stax label from 1966
until 1974.
