Professions, by definition, are called to a noble purpose. Fulfilling this purpose relies on adherence to a collectively agreed upon professional code of ethics. Kudos to the authors for continually expanding the early childhood education field’s understanding of this imperative.

Every person who works with or on behalf of young children has a responsibility to do the right thing. This book provides a moral compass, guiding educators’ decisions to ensure that children are protected, nurtured, and educated.
—Sherry M. Cleary, Executive Director, New York Early Childhood Professional Development Institute
As a teacher educator, I find this book to be an invaluable resource. Its many engaging, interactive activities bring the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct to life for students and early childhood educators.
