Description
Cancer is one of the most common occurring threats to human health. Despite of many advancements and technological development along with several treatment modalities, still cancer is not completely curable. It is adversely affecting the life quality of the patient and contributing in lowering the life expectancy and increasing the economic healthcare burden worldwide. Anomalous physicochemical environment and dysregulated biosynthetic intermediates present inside the tumor microenvironment contribute in regulating cancer cells to evade or defend conventional anti-cancer therapy such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Dynamic behavior of the cancer cells leads to significant loss of drug efficiency that is also somehow associated with several side effects. Conventional anti-cancer therapies also associated with major limitations of side effects and high cost. The latest development in synthesis of tumor microenvironment responsive nanoparticles bargains potential and promising approaches for combating cancers from almost all origins through modulating tumors by initiating acidic and hypoxic microenvironments. To overcome such challenges, nanomedicine approach exploiting the potential of nanoparticles can be a good choice for treatment of such dynamic cancer with limited side effects and ample efficacy.
The purpose of this book is to provide new updates to presently available scientific content related to several synthesis methods of the nanoparticles that have anticancer potential. Besides focusing on new synthesis methods, this book will also focus on the new delivery approach of such nanoparticles along with increasing the stability, efficacy and efficiency of such particles. This book will presents a complete guide covering recent methods of synthesis active nanoparticles and nanomaterials following both traditional and biological approaches. The book will also focus on the isolation, purification and characterization of the newly synthesized nanoparticles and nanomaterials and their application as drug delivery in cancer therapeutics. This book will also explain fundamental methods and approaches with easily understandable explanations, and contains control questions, case studies, equations, and informative tables and schemes to let readers learn faster.
