Over the last few years, conducting polymers have emerged and established as indispensable tools in the fabrication of anti-static substances for photographic film, corrosion inhibitors, compact capacitors, electromagnetic shielding, "Smart Windows" for computers, electrostatic materials, molecular electronics and ion exchange membranes. Besides, dendrimers have been designed for diverse applications such as sensing catalysis, molecular recognition, photonics and nano-medicine, drug delivery, gene delivery, metallodendrimer, functionalized dendrimers, nanocomposites, photoactive dendrimers, dendritic liquid crystals, fullerene-rich dendrimers, light emitting diodes, MRI agents, dendritic gold nanoparticles. Therefore this book provides the fundamental knowledge of conducting polymers followed by detailed description of growth patterns of dendrimers and electric potential oscillations during electropolymerization of pyrrole using mono and mixed surfactants along with the study of electrochemical synthesis of nano-sized polypyrrole dendrimers and oscillations in potential in the presence of aromatic and aliphatic surfactants.

Dr. Neha Goel has obtained her Ph.D. (Chemistry) from DDU Gorakhpur University in electropolymerization field. Dr. Rituraj Dubey is recently selected as Assistant Professor in Bhagalpur University, India. He was NSC-PDF in National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan after obtaining Ph.D. (Chemistry) from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India.
