Mirandoline, seule.
Ah ! si j'avais dû épouser tous ceux qui ont dit vouloir ma main, j'en aurais des maris ! Autant il en descend dans cette auberge, et autant qui s'éprennent de moi, jouent les amoureux transis, et me proposent, tous autant qu'ils sont, de m'épouser séance tenante ! Et voilà pas ce Chevalier, cet ours mal léché, qui me traite si rudement ? C'est bien le premier voyageur venu dans mon auberge qui n'ait pas eu plaisir à traiter avec moi. Je ne dis pas que tous doivent tomber amoureux au premier coup d'oeil, non. Mais me mépriser ainsi, voilà qui me met dans une rage noire.
