A propos de l'auteur

G. Edward Evans is an administrator, researcher, teacher, and writer. He holds several graduate degrees in anthropology and library and information science. As a researcher, he has published in both fields and held a Fulbright and National Science Foundation Fellowship. His teaching experience has also been in both fields in the United States and the Nordic countries, in particular the Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. Most of his administrative experience has been in private academic libraries at Harvard University and Loyola Marymount University. His published works include Libraries Unlimited's Introduction to Library Public Services and Introduction to Technical Services, as well as Academic Librarianship. Margaret Zarnosky Saponaro is librarian for Journalism and Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University Libraries, University of Maryland, where she is responsible for collection management, reference and instruction for these disciplines. She holds an MLS from the University of California, Los Angeles, with post-graduate work in the areas of personnel programs and public administration. Saponaro's previous experience includes serving as librarian for the College of Human Resources at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and as adjunct faculty for the University of Virginia. Her research interests are in the areas of collection management, instruction, and emerging technologies in libraries.
