This book is one of those successful few...the author, her husband, and their 5-year-old daughter were on a yacht cruise on the Bay of Biscay when they were struck by a storm. Fearing that the yacht was about to sink, the three took to the liferaft in mountainous seas. Less than a week later the husband died. Nine days later, the daughter died.
