A collection of previously unpublished erotica from German photographer Thomas Karsten. Black and white images taken between 1988 and 2004 show a range of women responding to their own concepts of desire, a result of Karsten's intention to move away from the enforced choreography of pornography and allow their natural selves to take centre stage. The result is a glossy selection of portraits chosen by the girls they show as much as by the photographer who took them.

About the author

Thomas Karsten, geboren 1958 in Eisenach, lebt in Vierkirchen/München. Seit 1978 beschäftigt er sich mit Photographie und arbeitet seit 1983 als freischaffender Photograph für diverse Magazine (Eltern, Stern, Capital, Das Magazin, Art). Seine freien Arbeiten sind in allen namhaften Photozeitschriften erschienen. Viele Ausstellungen und Ausstellungsbeteiligungen in Galerien und Museen. Sein erstes Fotobuch erhielt den Kodak-Fotobuchpreis.
