Filling time series gaps with Fourier series - Fourier series and transf. as interpolators for filling gaps in wind time series at CNAAA. DE

Based on a set of wind speed data from a meteorological tower located at the Almirante Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Plant (CNAAA), in Angra dos Reis - RJ, a methodology was proposed using Fourier Series, Transforms and Inverse Transforms as an interpolation technique to fill gaps in wind time series. The results were satisfactory, indicating that the technique presented in this book can be used as a methodology for filling gaps in wind time series.

About the author

Rafael Rangel is a PhD student (2017) in the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering at COPPE/UFRJ. He has a degree in Meteorology (2012) from UFRJ. He holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering in the area of computer systems for the oil and gas industry (2014) from COPPE/UFRJ. He has experience in scientific research and extension in Geosciences.
