In order to improve and maintain quality of life and minimize possible pain, society tends to increasingly follow drug therapy, often without medical recommendation and/or guidance, without knowing its real effects on the body. They often self-medicate on the advice of neighbors or family customs; they don't follow the pharmacotherapy correctly, they mix drugs, administer them with drinks in which some are incompatible, an uncontrolled disorientation. In view of this, the rescue of the pharmaceutical professional through pharmaceutical care came about with patient care, help with the possibility of adverse reactions to drugs arising from incorrect administration and the drug as a critical but useful input for health promotion and recovery. Pharmaceutical care is an activity that is part of pharmaceutical assistance and is based on patient care directly related to the administration of medicines. It is a new trend towards a closer relationship with the patient, with a view to adherence to pharmacological treatment and achieving concrete results in terms of improving quality of life.
