About the author

PAN Yue, PhD in history, is Director of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People’s Republic of China. He has once acted as Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, First Vice President of the Academy of Chinese Culture, Vice Minister of Environmental Protection, and Deputy Director of the Economic Structural Reform Office of the State Council. His recent publications include Comparative Studies on Chinese and Western Civilizations (Chinese Edition) (published in January 2022), Comparative Studies on Chinese and Western Civilizations: The Warring States and Ancient Greece (English Edition) (published in January 2022), Comparative Studies on Chinese and Western Civilizations: The Qin and Han Dynasties and Ancient Rome (English Edition) (published in May 2022), and Comparative Studies on Chinese and Western Civilizations: Ancient China and Rome under the Alien Rule (English Edition) (published in June 2024).
