Pressed ceramics - Indications and limitations

This chapter presents a literature review in which the pressed ceramic systems available on the market are pointed out, as well as the indications and limitations of each one according to each clinical case in the day-to-day dental practice. Considerations are given to the clinical longevity and marginal adaptation of the IPS Empress®, IPS Empress II® and IPS Emax Press® ceramic systems.

About the author

Gabriela Barros Lopes graduated in Dentistry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais. She has a post-graduate qualification in Restorative Dentistry from the São Leopoldo Mandic University in Campinas and training in Inhalation Sedation with Nitrous Oxide and in Botulinum Toxin/Facial Fillers. She is a Master's student in Implant Dentistry at PUCMinas.
