Looking in the first person - Contemporary use of the subjective camera in fiction cinema

The subjective camera encompasses the point of view in its multiple narrative, enunciative and audiovisual implications. With its growing presence as an expressive and narrative resource in contemporary audiovisual, the first person shot expands the meaning and dimension of the classic subjective camera, relating technique and technology in the aesthetics of the subjective point of view, relating film narrative and spectator.

About the author

With a PhD in Visual Arts, a Master's Degree in Audiovisual Media and Processes and a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Video from ECA/USP, Rodrigo researches film, video, music and visual arts. He directed the films ¿A Foto¿, ¿Queixa das Memórias¿, ¿Leônia-Uma cidade invisível?¿, the clips ¿Água Pingä and ¿Torturando Emo¿, as well as participating in feature films.
