Considering arts education as the fundamental basis for the integral development of children in early childhood education, this study analyzes the current training practices of kindergarten education professionals in artistic disciplines in some Chilean universities. There is little information about the artistic training received by these professionals. The study is carried out through interviews that gather the opinion of educators, students and university teachers regarding the need to incorporate new proposals in relation to artistic disciplines, applicable in classrooms from infants to 6 years of age. It is also observed the incorporation of artistic education within the curriculum. Various proposals are generated from the viewpoint of educators, Kindergarten Education students, university teachers and experts, which aim to contribute from the artistic languages to the initial training of kindergarten or early childhood education professionals.
