About the author










Paul Lindsay, who died in 2019 aged 92, taught English in many countries and created and organised the first intensive teacher training courses for the Cambridge Certificate in Language Teaching in the USA (San Francisco), in Brazil (Sao Paulo) and in the Czech Republic (Prague). Paul was the founder of the St Giles Colleges in England and in the USA. He was the author of books on how to teach English which are widely used in the UK and in the USA. His other books include: Teaching English Worldwide; Teaching EFL to Adults; and English in Easy Stages. Paul was a graduate of the LSE and University College London and had an MA in Linguistics.
