About the author

Masaoki Shindo is a Japanese manga artist whose previously published one-shots include “Twin Peach,” “Joreishi Rentaro no Yakusoku” (The Oath of Ice Slayer Rentaro), “Sky Claw,” and “Count Over.” RuriDragon was first published as a one-shot in 2020 before it began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2022. The series went on hiatus before returning in 2024.

Summary

Just after starting high school, Ruri gets hit with the biggest reveal of her life—she’s a dragon! Well, a half dragon. Her mom admits Ruri inherited her draconic traits from her father, who, yes, is actually a dragon. As if dealing with curious classmates wasn’t already challenging enough, Ruri and her dragon genes literally turn up the heat in the middle of a lecture.
