The present material does not pretend to provide an absolute solution to the teaching of Philosophy in Cuba, its objective is to make an approach to the teaching of Philosophy and the conditions for its analysis at present. It is a rethinking of the academic practice from a permanent investigative attitude, motivating the spirit of research, creation, innovation and criticism. It also promotes the rescue of values and the memory of the best that universal human thought has bequeathed.The proposal prioritizes the social function of historical, educational philosophical and philosophical knowledge, aimed at improving the humanistic and humanistic training from a philosophical approach and developmental learning in order to raise the ideological culture of life, promoting the transformation of reality and of oneself, problem solving and decision making, self-confidence, self-esteem and the search for a better way of being, serving, living and doing in the conditions of the present times.

Omelio Jesús Rivero Villavicencio, Doctor in Educational Sciences, Full Professor at the University of Camagüey. He has researched topics related to the Philosophy of Education and the training of doctors in Cuba.
