Informationen zum Autor Malcolm Coulthard is Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Birmingham. His recent publications include three edited collections, Talking about Text, 1986, Discussing Discourse, 1987, Advances in Spoken Discourse Analysis, 1992, and, in Portuguese, Linguagem e sexo and Traduçao: teoria e prática, both published in 1991. It includes both classic and specially commissioned papers by distinguished authors, which share a common linguistic framework. The examples used range from pure science through social science, academic journals, weekly magazines and newspapers, to literary narratives.
