This study focuses on the level of knowledge of contraceptive use among women aged 15-49 attending the C. S Lubango. It is an evaluative, cross-sectional, prospective study adopting a quantitative approach and covering a period from 01/May to 30 November 2021. The vast majority of respondents, i.e. 94% of women, are aware of contraceptive methods, while only 6% are unaware of their existence.Women attending the CS Lubango have a general knowledge of contraception. However, their knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of contraception remains inadequate. We therefore recommend that all family planning professionals at the Lubango health center and elsewhere, who wish to improve contraceptive prevalence in this area, promote these determinants in order to boost the population's knowledge of modern contraceptive methods. But also, to organize and multiply the various training courses within the population of Lubango by reinforcing the knowledge of the nursing staff in family planning.
