About the author










Bernard Reich, professor of political science and international affairs at George Washington University, Washington, D.C., serves as a consultant to various U.S. government agencies and to international business. He is the author of numerous articles and monographs on the politics and foreign policy of the Middle East and North Africa and published the Historical Dictionary of Israel (Scarecrow, 1992). Sanford R. Silverburg (PhD, international relations, American University's School of International Service), professor of political science and chairman of his department at Catawba College, Salisbury, NC, also compiled the Middle East Bibliography (Scarecrow, 1992).
