This book is a result of experimental research study conducted in the university of bahri-sudan,The goal of this research was to define the phenotypic characteristics of Sudanese desert goats, as well as the morphological traits of desert goats, in order to develop community-based breeding programs. Weight tape was used to take phenotypic measures of 60 desert goats on the college animal production farm. Desert goats were first discovered in the north Kordofan state-Sudan, in the village of Abu Zabad. Significant variances in phenotypic measurements were found among all indigenous desert goats, and the findings of this study add to the phenotypic data of indigenous Sudanese desert goats of the local community based breeding programs.

Dr. Ahmed Abi Abdi Warsame ist ein somalischer Staatsbürger und Spezialist für Tierproduktion und -vermarktung. Eine seiner größten Errungenschaften war die Verleihung eines Exzellenzpreises durch den ehemaligen sudanesischen Präsidenten HE. Er befindet sich derzeit im letzten Jahr seines MSc-Studiums in Tierproduktion und -vermarktung an der Universität Gulu in Uganda.
