In this book the reader will find information about the impact of COVID-19 on the food security of the Mexican population, contextualizing the international panorama based on the analysis and synthesis of various references, mainly annual reports, where food security was measured through the Food Insecurity Experience Scale (FIES) and through a survey on the effects of COVID-19 on Mexican households (ENCOVID-19). To this end, the indicators to determine a country's risk situation were addressed. Likewise, the standards that help in the management of food security and food assistance programs that seek to focus support to the most vulnerable population were included. All of the above, in order to provide information on the current state of food insecurity after the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic.
