About the author

Deborah Nelson Linck is a life-long Episcopalian and retired elementary educator. A member of Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis for 50 years, she chaired the Search Committee for the 11th Bishop of the Diocese of Eastern Missouri. She continues to educate learning communities about the importance of Black history as the founder and curator of The Hands-On Black History Museum. Deborah lives in St. Louis, Missouri.Angela Corbin is a freelance illustrator based in Washington, D.C. She has a background in children’s books, comics, and character design.
