Lakes, rivers, ponds, and streams are the sources of surface water, which is necessary for the existence of aquatic flora and fauna and maintain the balance of ecology. Due to urbanization, the explosion of population and industrialization these natural sources are getting polluted. The present book is an attempt to assess the effects of synthetic dye on biochemical and physiological characteristics of macrophytes which are used as a pollution indicator.
