Mangement of Special Child

Children with special healthcare needs are often difficult to treat in the dental clinics. Children with special health care needs have a significantly higher prevalence of oral diseases because of the lack of oral health knowledge, access to care and preventive measures. The dental team should know and use various treatment modifications and modalities for intraoral care of special child. The entire dental team should be educated on how best to care for children with special needs. Most children with mild to moderate developmental disabilities can be managed in a dental clinic if dentist know how to take care of special child .
