Olú loves to drum. His specialty is the Yorùbá talking drum. Olú drums in a language that very few people understand. One day, Olú comes across an energetic dancer who does not understand the language of the talking drum. Olú sees this as an opportunity for mischief; that is, until he gets caught.

About the author










Àník¿¿ Fátúnà¿e is a long time Yorùbá teacher. She taught Yorùbá at Corona Primary School in Lagos, Nigeria, in the 1980s. Today, she teaches Yorùbá to non-native speakers in the United States. Her dream is to see children everywhere learn to love and speak Yorùbá, one of the richest languages in the world.
