Rwanda is among the fourteen landlocked countries in Africa and has no access to the sea. His lack of mineral and energy resources is a real obstacle to his development. If it wants to grow up, it is important to work more than any other, and in all fields: political, economic, social and cultural. It has therefore no choice if it wants really raise to the same level as many other countries. It's plan is very ambitious: to be a middle-income country by the year 2020 whatever this may cost. And as he has decided it, this must happen through regional integration. This is why continuous efforts are being made to implement the regional integration policy through various organizations: EAC, CEPGL, AU, etc. Tangible results have been achieved so far, but much remains to be done.
