High Moon: Volume 1

High Moon follows the protagonist Finian the vampire and his horse Izzy on a journey a crossed the Wild West. It begins with Finian following a bounty through the deserts of New Mexico. After capturing him, they return to Jamesonville. A few nights later, the town is assaulted and destroyed by magical and mythical creatures. In an attempt to see justice done to those killed in the town, Finian heads after the villains. As he does he encounters various obstacles all of which lead him to Salt City where he discovers a much larger evil is at play.

About the author

Jared Rice graduated from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs where he earned a bachelors degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing. He then taught middle school and high school at James Irwin Charter School for 9 years. After much deliberation, Jared quit teaching to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a full-time novelist.
