La première question que doit se poser l'amateur qui collectionne dans une localité peu ou point connue est celle - ci: qu'est - cc que je dois ramasser? Le naturaliste d'expérience connait d'une manière générale ce qu'il doit rechercher selon les localités, 'et il est en mesure de travailler avantageusement. Mais l'amateur, lui, est plus ou moins forcé de s'en remettre au hasard, et, trop souvent, c'est en croyant choisir le mieux qu'il choisit le pire. C'est pour lui venir en aide que nous avons écrit ce petit manuel.
