Parere (e aveva l' aspetto di ragio nevole) che il Vicerè non volesse perder tempo e soldati in combat ter le terre, ma venire diritto a Firenze per mutarvi lo stato e pren dervi ifiorini di che aveva estremo bisogno; mostrandolo ancora quel non essersi curato nè di Firenzuola nè di Barberino. Nacque allora il terzo consiglio, di ridurre il grosso delle forze a Firenze, e tener Prato con appena duemila uomini.
