McLean is the deadliest bare-knuckle fighter Britain has even seen; not only taking on the Mafia and IRA and winning, but also surviving being stabbed and shot multiple times. He went on to star in hit films such as "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels". This is his story. *Also appeared in February Buyer's Notes*

About the author

Lenny McLean, along with the Krays, is the most famous product of London's East End. The most famous bare-knuckle fighter ever, he became known to an even wider audience with his roles in such blockbusters as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Lenny died tragically in the same week as his book first became a Sunday Times number one bestseller.

Summary

Born in East London in 1949, Lenny McLean grew up in an area that had been ravaged by the Second World War. Although money was scarce and fighting was commonplace, a camaraderie and deep sense of honour and respect remained.
