The delta robot is based on the concept of a parallel robot. The parallel robot is a well known concept though there are very few companies or applications which implements this type of robot. This book will be examining the design and development of the Massey University Delta Robot, done as part of the final year engineering project requirements of our undergraduate studies. The project was split into two parts: mechanical design, and the control system. This book discusses mechanical reasoning and considerations that went into mechanical design as well as a comprehensive overview of the electronic and software controls of the robot.
