TIG welding is one of the important weld process for the fusion reactor components developement and fabrication. The welding of aluminium is most difficult due to its thermo physical properties like high thermal and electrical conductivity, low melting point and strength. In this, TIG welding parameters welding current and welding speed are used to weld. TIG welded joints are then heat treated by artificial aging and solution treatment to evaluate the influence of PWHT on mechanical properties of AA6061 joints. Tensile strength and impact strength of as TIG welded and heat treated joints is evaluated.
