Diabetes mellitus is a major public health problem worldwide.However, it is hidden burden in developing countries due to people's low level of knowledge about diabetes mellitus. This book addresses the knowledge and attitude about diabetes mellitus and its associated factors. This study revealed that, 49% respondents have good knowledge and 39.5% respondents have good attitude about diabetes mellitus. Educational status, family income and family history of diabetes mellitus were factors associated with knowledge,while educational status was factors associated with attitude about diabetes mellitus. This book will give up to date information about the knowledge, attitude, its hidden burden diseases, and prevention and control mechanism about diabetes mellitus for policy makers, experts, researchers, and other partners in the health sector.
