Institutional Mechanism of Managing Disaster in Pakistan

Disasters by default have become a stark global phenomenon with multidimensional effects.The geographical location of Pakistan makes it the subject to most natural disasters. Pakistan is exposed to a multifaceted situations having geographical and sociopolitical factors. Physically it is exposed to vulnerabilities ranging from earth quacks, floods, droughts, cyclones, landslides, etc. The emphasis of this study is critically evaluation of institutional mechanism of disaster management or lack of it.

About the author

I am a graduate student of Social Work and serving Department of Economics, University of Sargodha as a lecturer since 2009. I am a Social Development activist and had a experience of working with UNDP, USAID, UNICEF and other reputed organization.
