About the author

Charles Darrow Kirkpatrick IIis President of Kirkpatrick and Company, which advises leading institutions on equities, bonds, currencies, commodities and the economy. He has spent 40 years in investing as a security analyst, portfolio manager, block desk trader, options trader institutional broker and author of several books, including the textbook now used in the Market Technicians Association' professional accreditation programme. Twice winner of MTA's Charles H. Dow Award, he has appeared on CNBC and Wall Street Week and has been quoted in Barrons, Money, and BusinessWeek. He teaches technical analysis at Brandeis University's school ofbusiness.
