About the author
Mary and David Macaree were long-time members of the British Columbia Mountaineering Club (BCMC), which was founded in 1907 and continues to bring together more than 500 like-minded individuals who organize mountaineering, rock climbing and backcountry skiing trips throughout the year. Under the auspices of the club, the Macarees originated four editions of both this volume and its companion, 103 Hikes in Southwestern British Columbia, which has sold over 100,000 copies. Sadly, they have both passed away but the BCMC continues to support this book, and current authors Alice Purdey and John Halliday are active members.
