With Debut, TRË sings about persecution and empowerment and honours all the women who, for centuries, have been singing for those crossing the thresholds of life.
TRË performs vocal folk music from different cultures as well as their own compositions. Questioning the essence of what it means to be human is a theme carried throughout their music both in staged concerts and interdisciplinary collaborations. The three women interweave their contrasting backgrounds and celebrate diversity in all its forms.
TRË is based in Basel. The trio s name comes from Ladin, a Rhaeto-Romanic minority language from the Italian Alps.
