This book presents up-to-date data on skin areas in the projection of acupuncture points. The neurotransmitter features of the points in rats and humans are considered in a comparative aspect. Data on bioamine status and neuroendocrine and immunocompetent cells of human acupuncture points are presented in detail. Acupuncture (as invasive exposure) and laser acupuncture (non-invasive) alter the bioaminic supply of the skin, with these changes depending on the time of exposure and the method of exposure. The authors propose to evaluate the functional role of acupuncture in terms of the proposed hypothesis of a neurotransmitter system regulating local organ regulation. This makes it possible to consider the bioamino-containing structures of the skin, the existence of which has been confirmed by many years of research, as a trigger component of reflex activity, in which, along with the neurotransmitter and nervous systems, certain functions belong to the connective tissue matrix. In the skin and other organs, granular luminescent cells play an important role, and their main function is to control the neurotransmitter supply in the skin and in other organs and systems. This book presents up-to-date data on skin areas in the projection of acupuncture points.
