These men have been actively interested in the teaching of Ophthalmology, and the improvement of the standards of Ophthalmic education and take up their work in this direction with the support of the majority of American Ophthalmologists. But it is a big under taking in which haste cannot be substituted for good judgment. A preliminary meeting Of the Board has already been held, and the formulation Of detailed plans assigned to committees. This is the time for those who are interested in the movement to bring before the members of the Board their ideas with regard to such examinations, especially such as have not come out in the discussions of the subject that have taken place in the different Special societies, or conferences during the past three years.
