BioInquiry ist eine reformierte Einführung in die Grundlagen der Biologie, die von der National Science Foundation unterstützt wird. Die wesentliche Inhaltsreform besteht darin, daß die Chemie nicht länger im Vordergrund steht, sondern nur wo nötig zur Erläuterung biologischer Grundlagen herangezogen wird. Die Stoffvermittlung ist einzigartig: BioInquiry ist ein flexibles Lernsystem, bei dem CD, Text und WWW-Material von Anfang an aufeinander abgestimmt wurden. Das Ergebnis ist eine ökonomische und nahtlose Integration verschiedener Medien, damit Studenten mit unterschiedlichen Lerngewohnheiten den Biologiekurs optimal nutzen können.
